CIU Athletics Banquet Held to Celebrate Season of Growth

The CIU Athletics Banquet was held on Monday night, March 31 at Seawell's Banquet Hall. Over 165 student-athletes, coaches, family and friends came together to celebrate a season of growth for the CIU athletic department.

The event was modeled after the ESPN Espy Awards with student-athletes serving as presenters for various team and individual Ram Awards. Lettermen awards were also given to celebrate the achievement of the CIU athletic teams in men's and women's cross country, men's soccer, and men's and women's basketball. One of the highlights of the evening was a video presentation of pictures from the entire year in CIU Athletics.

CIU Athletics Director Kim Abbott commented on the evening: "Tonight was about celebrating the CIU student-athletes and their achievement. I am so pleased with our young people and their commitment to the Lord and to their sport. We will continue to grow, and I think that was the theme of the evening....growth. We continue to look forward to our future, but tonight was a wonderful evening to reflect on the past year."

A gallery of pictures from the event will be posted soon.
