Coach Brooker and Coach Joe Dannelly Clearing Trails for the Inaugural Season
Trails are starting to clear out!
Work has begun on the trails that wind through the woods and around the 3 ponds that are scattered across the CIU campus. Coach Brooker and Coach Joe Dannelly did the initial clean up, by using a weed eater and leaf blower to clear a path through the gas line and grassy hill that runs alongside the Ben Lippen Resident Houses. They were also able to clear out the trail that runs parallel to the boulevard in between the Intramural Field and Monticello Road. These trails will be used for CIU's inaugural cross country season and first ever home cross country meet on September 22nd.
The men's and women's cross country teams will be joined by members of the student body on August 18th to do more work on the trails in preparation for the meet September 22nd, which will have a 5k course for the women and an 8k course for the men.
